If you are looking for how to read deleted messages on whatsapp, then read on. Today I'll be talking on how to read deleted messages on WhatsApp. Also showing different methods on how to do it.

Most times we get messages from WhatsApp and without seeing them, the sender deletes them. This i find annoying and disturbing. Then a certain day came, a friend on WhatsApp sent me 11 messages but deleted 10 really??. Then i took myself on a journey to ending that problem, and i found a solution. This I'll share with you.

how to read deleted messages on whatsapp

We all know that once a user hold long on a message and tap delete for everyone, the message gets deleted both from the sender’s and recipient’s end. But these deleted WhatsApp messages are actually still on the recipient device, and can easily be accessed through settings by the recipient.

What made this possible is this. Anytime a notification comes into an Android device, it is stored in the notification log – whether or not it is subsequently deleted by the sender. While the bulk of the data in the log is technical information, the first 100 characters of the notification message are also recorded

Though recipients of deleted WhatsApp messages may not be able to see the message within WhatsApp after it is deleted, they can still see it in their notification log. I know you'll want to know how you can access your notification log, cool down, I'll show you two methods in accessing notification log.

Accessing Deleted WhatsApp Messages Through Notifications Log

Method One
Users needs to get an app called “notification history” from play store (or any of their favorite stores). Steps :
• Download the “notification history” app from play store.
• look for the deleted message in the Android notification log. (SEE IMAGE BELOW)

With this method, users can only see 100 texts of the deleted WhatsApp messages in a line starting with “android.text”. Additionally, the notification log will automatically delete itself every few hours or if phone is restarted.

Method Two (works for only Android 7.0.. Oops)
Users will have to create a home screen settings widget. How to create:
• long press the hold screen.
• Click widget icon.
• scroll down to settings
• Drag and drop onto the home screen.
• click on “widget”.
• Scroll down and click on the notification log.

i hope you finally discovered how to read deleted messages on WhatsApp. If you have any opinions / other options, or a little problem on how to read deleted messages on WhatsApp. Kindly leave a comment.
