Lately, you might have noticed that your data finished quickly or you are tired of spending much on mobile data and you want to put a stop to it, you need to read this post.

The way your data gets consumed fully depends on how you use your phone. The more smartphones gets smarter, the more data it consumes.

Fortunately there are some ways to save data on an android phone.

here are some tips on how to save mobile data on your android phone.

1. Call your social media apps to order.
Social media apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram etc are very hungry for data and always ready to consume mobile data on your android device.
However, there are ways to stop such apps from consuming data without affecting the services you get from them. First you can get the lite versions of the apps (of those available) as they tend to consume less data.
The lite versions comes with limited features, if you can't work with the lite versions, there is another option which doesn't affect the features, switching off your background data.

2. Stop auto-updating apps
Most apps automatically downloads updates when your data is on.
To stop apps from downloading updates while you are not connected to a Wi-Fi but using your mobile data, open up the Google Play Store and swipe from the left-hand side of the screen to open the Google Play Store menu.
Scroll down the menu and tap on Settings, then make sure that under ‘Auto-update apps,’ you select ‘Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only’.

3. check out the "offline mode"
Most of your favourite apps might actually have an offline mode feature. Check the settings of your favourite apps to see if it exists and use them. Using offline mode will go a long way in saving your mobile data.

4. Restrict background data
Most apps have access to the Internet while running in the background, this makes them consume data every time without limits.
To stop these apps from having access to your mobile data, visit your settings and click on 'Data Usage' and you'll see various options, click on “restrict background data”.
