Nigeria, no doubt has turned out to be one of the center point of interest, investment and innovations in the Sub-sahara area of Africa. Indeed, even with the feeble economy, the business opportunities in the Nigeria is huge. Also, the population of Nigeria (I.E 196,782,842) is very convincing for entrepreneurs.

Today we will be sharing detailed tips in launching a startup in Nigeria, not just a startup, a successful one.
These tips are also steps an entrepreneur who intends launching startup in Nigeria should take.



And the tips are :

1.) Get a Unique Startup Idea:
This is one of the many problems facing startups in Nigeria as every entrepreneur wants to focus on a particular problem whereas they're several problems unsolved which requires solutions.
Like for example,  Imagine an entrepreneur launching an online market/store in Nigeria when  Jumia, Konga, etc are available and has obviously solved the online market problems in Nigeria.
Getting a unique startup founder idea is simply developing a new solution or a better solution to problems.

2.) Prepare Yourself :
Before launching your startup you need to prepare yourself self perfectly. How do you prepare yourself?  By setting plans for work days, promotion/advertisement plans, etc.
You also need to develop a good business plan.
Preparing yourself will only make your operation swift and easy as everything is already planned.

3.) A Perfect Location :
“a perfect location” is what every entrepreneur needs to launch a successful startup. Looking for a perfect location in Nigeria you must consider the accessibility, population and most importantly the niche of your startup.

4.) Be One With The Market :
Be one with the market, not every market but the one you intend going to. Becoming one with the market simply means understanding the market, becoming an insider in the market.
Becoming one with the market isn't going to be easy though as you'll have to develop plans and strategies and also study the market.

5.) Set Up A Good Team:
Setting up a good team doesn't actually mean you should set up a group of honest and hardworking people. Though,  those are nice traits but,  setting up a good team should be about setting up people who focuses on different things, things you can rarely do or totally can't do. You don't set up a team whereas all team members are writers and you are launching a graphic design startup.

6.) Register Your Startup :
Registering your startup with corporate bodies will give you an edge over non registered startups when sourcing for investors, due to the fact that you will win more trust.

7.)Run Ads :
Running ads will enable you reach a lot of new customers. You can also pay for press releases in blogs, radios etc focusing on your niche as their audience are obviously based on your niche.

8.) Source For Capital/funds :
This isn't always necessary, but it's good to source for funding as it will give you the enabled funds to start, also giving you investors.
